Elderado National Forrest Thread

Moving to Sac in a month or so. I've been checking out Elderado for weekend getaways with the wifey. going to bring my truck and purchase a RTT as soon as i get there. Can we post up cool campsites and places to trail ride?? Lets make a nice users guides and I will continue to post up pics and places when I get there and explore. I like the look of Ice House Reservoir for starters. Thanks!

We are heading here - https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...hwy-4-ebbetts-pass-free.500270/#post-15746462 - will be a few people that offroad from your side of the sierra's at the fest. There is a nice trail just west of the campground and several others up east toward Mosquito Lake.

 

I spend a good amount of time up off of Mormon Immigrant, up near sly park and HWY 88, lost of good random roads. I just started using the GPS so here are a few that I have.

Been getting out more on the North side of Tahoe when I can, the Bowman Lake area is beyond awesome.

Eldorado is cool, I’ve camped in the vicinity of union valley many times when we have a bigger non-off-road oriented group. Tahoe national forest is where I typically go, as stated, bowman lake area and beyond is indeed awesome.

I think this technically goes from El Dorado forrest in to the Tahoe forrest.

did a lil break in trip to get things organized and ready for the next one, not really offroading, but camping

 

I go up to morman all the time, some cool trails, you can camp there, and shoot there. Always have a blast, if any of you wanna go offroading hit me up.
