Science/math and make my brain hurt question for all and @Blkvoodoo . On my lifted Miata with 27" tires. Currently have 4.10 gears, have some 4.78 from a Kia. But I've decided not to weld the rear (plan on driving it way more than originally thought) so going to get a factory LSD. There was a year that had the LSD and 4.30 gears. So would that be good enough or still do the 4.78 gears regardless

I’d go with the Kia gears. Do you really think you’ll need a locker?

will the KIA gear set fit the Miata carrier ? or is it total swap of housing and all ?

the 4.30 gear might still be just a touch too tall, 5th gear would be useless in anything but flat road driving, you're on the coast so it may not be an issue

at that, how good is the motor ? is it strong enough to pull ?

i know its work, try the 4.30, see how it goes, if its a dog, measure everything before you pull it apart (backlash, pinion depth) then swap the gears over, should have the shims between the 2 diffs, just need a few seals and a crush collar or 3

Just measured on my deck and we've got a solid 4" here...5 in spots. Can't believe that the road and my driveway has almost 0. I'm guessing that it's so wet that the trees are grabbing it all since it's all tree lined.

I just bought a 12" vinyl cutter and it came with a bunch of sample 12"x12" sheets. I've cut a few stickers so far and they're turning out pretty good. I need some practice so give me some ideas. Multi color is fine. Keep in mind that you may get random colors for now but they're free so there's that ;) I'm going to order some rolls soon but want to get the process down with the practice sheets first. Lemme know

We got around 8" here in burlington roads are getting dicey with packed snow and ice. A second wave came through a little while ago and is now slowly petering off.
