not bad I like it, not my favorite I would say but I would drink it again for sure, my taste buds are weird they come and go it seems like they are playing games with me sometimes lol

this one was canned in November though so I think that has a lot to do with it not being amazing :notsure:

the beer I post last week had been canned only a week prior and it was love at first taste....

@uurx There are some IPAs that I get that don't stay long. There is a Fort Hill Brewery beer that I love, when it is within a week of canning. Anything after that, it is just not as good at all.
Just got a 4 of Collective Arts that is awesome too. Think that was brewed last month. So good.

    Brew chores tonite...

FG check on this 1.059 Scottish ale I brewed 6 days ago. Target reached, gonna cold crash it for a week and then keg it. Should be on tap by next weekend.

    20180117_174513.jpg

Here is the California Common I brewed on 12/22. It's been on tap for about 10 days now. Still has some clearing to do, but it's coming along nicely. The yeast bite is almost gone and the Northern Brewer hops are starting to come thru in the finish. A few more weeks and this one should be pretty nice.

I do t usually look to Lagunitas for anything but hoppyness but after the gnarleywine last week I thought I’d give this a go.

Not too bad. Thin and boozy. My kind of imperial stout.

Broke into the Monday Night Brewing Situational Ethics BBA coffee vanilla stout this afternoon...

    https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/26516/316981/

Pretty damn good, especially for the $$$. Nice, thick, and oily. Very little head. A little boozy (right under the GA limit at 13.9%), but good balance of coffee and vanilla flavors. Some nice bourbon flavor and heat coming in at the end too...

Perfect for the cold weather we had today!

Would love to pick up another and let it age a little.

And really want to find the maple cinnamon BBA variant!

I’ll admit, I bought a four pack of these pretty much only because of the name and can art. It’s pretty good but not really a Barleywine, closer to a dry IPA with a little Barleywine flavoring. Still a good beer though.

This review actually fits pretty well now that I’ve drank half the glass.
