Just ordered color matched grill surround to switch out the ugly chrome. Are there any YouTube or detailed instructions on how to pull out the center part and attach to new grill surround?
Don’t want to break any clips.
    Much appreciated

Trying to do the same thing on my 2011 model. The 2 screws and the 2 clips on top came off real easy, but no clue as to how to loosen the lower clips, or even where they are. Looking at the back of the new grill, there are clips attached, but no idea how they come off or how to get them off the old grill. Any idea on how to accomplish this before I give up and take it to a body shop?

The bottom just slides out, the bottom clips don’t clip to anything, they just slide into some slots. At least my 2014 was like this, I assume yours is the same.

Thanks for the video. It showed some things I have not seen before. I'll give it another shot when I have the weather.

Well, that explains and answers a lot of questions I have. I did not pull up on the grille cause it felt like it was still well attached somewhere on the bottom and I did not want to break anything and I had no clue as to where it was attached. Looking at photos I took of the old grille trying to figure out where it was still attached and a photo of the back of the new grille and watching the last video that was posted, I think I see what you are talking about. We’ve had gale force wind and buckets of horizontal rain all day, so I could not do anything with it today.

If I remember correctly, you don’t pull up, but rather pull out (like parallel with the ground). It should slide easy, if you pull up, you will break those tabs.

All videos I’ve seen say to pull straight up. I’ll be real careful. I don’t want to break anything. If this turns out to be super easy after I’ve made a mountain out of a mole hill about the difficulties I’m having with this, I’ll be back with dunce cap on.

Just to show what a klutz I am with stuff like this, I broke most of the clips I removed and had to jerry rig replacements for the clips I broke with some hard flexible plastic for washers and bolts with wing nuts to replace the clips as I knew I was going to do around 60 miles on rough logging roads the next day and wanted the grille firmly attached.

The pull out method is not 100% effective, however.

OP, sorry about that, I assumed they were all the same. Either way, don’t take it anywhere, it’s easy enough.
