So I added a fuse to this since when I tested it, it showed up as only coming on with the power. I used it to power my halo rings in my headlights, but every now and then, my halo lights will pop up leading me to believe the fuel pump is working?

I can switch the halo to something else that is ignition based, but it has to be under the hood and low fuse rating, and I wasn't able to locate anything.

Any idea which fuse to tap into or reason why this selected one just comes on at random?

Of all the options, why tap into the fuel injection? That's asking for trouble, IMO.

I would extend the wire and run it into the cab. Then just plug an add a fuse to something less important than your fuel injection. My base model has a bunch of powered empty fuses slots in the cab fuse box.
