Moisture meter

Anyone have a Risepro moisture meter? I bought one off of eBay but didn’t get a manual with it. It has 8 different wood groups to check. I don’t know what wood type belongs in each group so I can’t really check for moisture levels. I need a manual to know what 1-8 levels are.

 

There are several pdf manuals available on line.

 

I found a couple of Risepro manuals online. They only specify four or six groups of wood type though.

 

Isn't there a sticker right on the front that shows the groups? A,b,c,d and so on?

 

They are numbered 1-8. Along the bottom of the screen.

 

You are supposed to change the number according to the wood you are checking.

 

Interesting. I've been looking at some YouTube vids and nothing is showing up.
Best bet would be to give the company a call and request a manual.

 

Can’t really find much about the company online.

 

I found 6 groups if that helps. And a chart for density to maybe figure out the other 2.
You probably already seen it already.
