How have you liked the Falkens?

 

I think they're great, had them a little over a year now. They are reasonably quiet, work well in the rain & snow, and they wear very well. I don't know if my alignment guy nailed it or what, but even after 15K+ miles the front and rears look exactly the same. I probably will rotate them next oil change.

 

The man just came forward with an explanation for everything and if what he says is true then I he has my support 100%. I too would do anything to protect either of my children.

 

My issue with him was his attitude in the forums. Beforehand, why I went with NJ for bearings. The fact that he left people with out an update is still the issue, doesn't matter if you have a day job or whatever, you took people money, keep them updated. Longest I went without an update from NJ was 3 days and two of days was Saturday and Sunday.

This child porn charge, well hope what he said is true, really do. When you are a registered sex offender, that stigma sticks no matter what you may say or do. I reserve my opinion on the matter, somethings stuck out in the post that I consider questionable. Regardless he did his time, still an asshole vendor. NJ makes better bearings, and answered all my questions and didn't talk down to any of his customers.

 

Considering some of his history I know about bama before many of us got on here, he has pulled some very shady shit as a member to other members that were not business related. His bullshit “retired marine don’t screw with me” attitude does not help this cause. From his actions long ago, I’m surprised he never got banned from the forum due to some of the conduct he did to one members wife and another’s girlfriend.

Going forward, to play any excuse without communication says to me he likely contemplated a different route for himself as many do when they go silent. You can’t do that as a vendor. I’m proud to this day that @TacoFMS put me in the right direction as at the time bamatoy was advertising his stuff a lot and just due to ignorance I would have missed out from getting my bearings from nj. Not only was nj a solid dude communication wise, but gave a solid deal when he already didn’t need to and the packaging was like as if it came from a professional distributor. No reason to look into bama for me, but individual character means something to me even though I believe him from his story.

Well, I know that for those that don't know the man and have never met him or spent any time around him, but for some reason think that he is made of gold bc he sells stuff on tw all is now forgiven. That's fine, it your money. You truly have the right to choose what to spend it on as well as who to give it to.

The only reason I posted the link in the threads I posted in is because I have friends I talk to in those threads. Wanting to give a heads up that a ball had been dropped. In fact, if you notice, there are many many threads I didn't post links in. Particularly one that I used to post frequently in. Because I do not consider myself to have any friends in there.

I believe it was gearcruncher who actually said last night, some story will be told or distraction given and tomorrow the sheep will follow him again. Afterall this is not the first time he has faced the mob for not delivering on goods he was already paid for. It's just this time the mob overturned something that made it get ugly quickly.

So, government is shutdown. Guess I can get to some of those project I haven’t had time to do on the weekends. Still have headlights to put in, light bar, fiddle with my radio some more, and install some lights. Anyone else a govie with projects stacked up?

as far as the customer service part i cannot comment on as i have not dealt with him. i just hated to see someone getting raked across the coals when it sounds as if he was doing the right thing for his kid.

WHats funny is what we are talking about involves a member from
Alabama and another from California which are completely separate harassing incidents. This guy is just cool enough to have separate fuck ups...and still be a dick AND currently has buyers he needs to make right.

This is my second shutdown in 4 years, and i cant count how many near misses and CRs. We are pawns in a chess game amongst idiots. Last time they pulled this shit, I had just had major head/neck surgery. Had to go back to work with a neck brace on just to keep my head up even though i had hundreds of hours of sick leave banked. I think I am done with this shit.

I hate to say it, but private sector is looking better and better... just need to finish paying off my TSP loan first.

Thats the majority of the people in our office. Unfortunately not me.
