I got the alignment because well I don't know much about alignments as evidenced above. I was talked into it as it was a change in tire size (about an inch taller) and I'm not versed enough to dispute why I didn't need one.

As of now, I found the previous alignment sheet from when I got the tires put on but they listed the wrong tire size so I don't know if that makes any difference. I'll post both in a few I'm at dinner at the moment.

I was fine after learning about pulling was normal for Road crown. Now it's when the wheel is centered which was not the case a week ago. I have an appointment for Monday which will be the 4th attempt at this mystery. If that doesn't work I may bite the bullet and pay another shop I've used for years to align it and go from there.

As am I. Having to go back a 4th time is what I call ridiculous. The dealership is reputable so I don't know what's going on. I'll provide them with the original measurements when I got the alignment corrected after the alignment.

Y'all think this get complicated? Try asking a BMW shop to rotate your tires.

Quick update: I've been at the dealership for 3 and half hours now, and that's with having an appointment, and so far they are still messing with my truck!

As of last update I was informed It's the "fading" as he called it as someroads are not even. So I've been told it's Road crown at one time and now fading (not sure but sounds like same thing as road crown) and I'm just waiting to hear "natural characteristic of the truck". I've been at a dealership almost every off day since my 5k mile service. I'm worried I'll need to take vacation days when it comes to the 10k mile service!

Is the service free? If it is, you get what you pay for.
I had two alignments done, one after the lift and the second one after bigger wheels/tires installed. Never went to the dealer, I went to Oasis Auto and each time the truck track laser staring with good AFTER readings.
Stop expecting good service from the dealer, find a good shop and pay for pro alignment. Dealer exists to sell cars...good mechanics are to fix them...not going to find both at the same location.

Paid for the alignment originally in October. The subsequent visits have been free because it's just a continuation.

I've been told my Toe was out of spec and is now in spec. But I was told it was in spec 9 days ago! And of those 9 days I worked 5 so I did not even touch my truck. I went less than 200 miles since it was last aligned.

I'm being advised that my service ticket will not be closed as this is the second time it's being brought in for the same issue so Toyota mandates a ticket stay open to investigate the issue. When I get my new Alignment spec sheet I will post all the ones I have.

At this rate I'm going to take to a place I usually go to for an alignment.

You never had the problem until you changed your tires. When you went in and they rotated the tires the problem returned. Some tires have a different rolling resistance and this is what causes the pull. Have the two front tires switched on the front side to side. If the truck drives straight or pulls to the opposite direction it's a tire issue.

So far I've only driven the truck 3 times since last dealer and the problem seems corrected for now. It was at the dealer from 10am to about 4pm that day so I think they took their time to try and sort it out.

When I go in for my 10k mile service I'll have them check the alignment to see if the toes have come out again, that's what worries me. I hadn't done any off roading or anything that would cause the toe to come out last time but it did.

So far it's working well I don't wanna mess with it just yet because it's still an open service order because it was my second time in for same issue. They will be checking it again to see if the problem returns and then we go from there to resolve.

I would venture to guess you need more Caster. Keep it more secure in its direction ect. May need new UCAs for that unless there is any left in the LCAs.

Ive lifted my truck with and had alignment issues at first. I then added 285’s and made things 10x worse. I had to add new UCA’s. I barely made it within spec when I had 265 still on there to begin with. The same dealer you’ve visited aligned it and so far so good. Drives straight and doesn’t wander in random directions anymore, which was the main issue I had without the uca’s. Im over 3*+ in caster now with the new spc uca’s.

Not saying that your fix is new uca’s but in my situation it fixed the problem.

With the 265’s and lift I maxed out caster at 1.7* on both sides. Not even close.

Same. I needed SPCs on mine to get it over 3.

Not to steer in the other direction but what kind of MPG do you see with those?

18-19 city normally before tire swap. Yesterday i think it was somewhere in the 15 maybe 16?. I haven’t paid too much attention to mpg lately to be honest. But definitely a decrease with the 285. Load E tires are heavy.

same. got my SPC's to 4.7*driver/5.2*passenger... they could actually go quite a bit higher than that, but this is the perfect zone for me. i actually went up to 7.2*driver when we were looking for the zone.

Were they not into the cab at that point!? That puts the tire way tipped back. Wow
