Hey guys, I was wanting to see if there would be any interest in a group buy for our new aluminum over canopy bed rack? This rack weighs only 44lbs yet is extremely strong! It built entirely out of 1/8" 5052 aluminum, all nuts are pressed into the rack for easy installation and ease of adding accessories. I currently have shot bed and long bed racks for the 2nd and 3rd gen Tacoma along with matching cab racks for those trucks as well.
Here are the current prices and discounts that I'm thinking.
This group buy would be for the racks only, I do have several accessories in the works as well.
The racks will come coated black and load bars are bare aluminum.

    2007-2018 short bed rack $1090

    2007-2018 long bed rack $1185

    2007-2018 cab rack $649

Optional shot bed side door $350ea
    Long bed side door $375ea.

    ( DISCOUNTS)
I will do 10% off 10 or more orders and 20% off 20 or more orders, than is a potential savings of over $488 on the full system.

Again this is just to gain interest, if the interest is there I will open the buy, I will need at least 10.
Here is a link to my thread for more info
    thanks!
    Ben.

This is the best I currently have sorry! I think there are some in the thread somewhere though.
I do plan to offer a rear side skirting that is for the cab rack only, this will give a cleaner look when not installed with the bed rack. IMG_0093.jpg

Looks good as it is ... but I trust you when you say it would look cleaner with a different setup.

Will this work with a shell? ARE Z series to be exact

    Should not be a problem.
I also plan on making a matching top rack for hard canopys.

I've been looking for a bed rack to go over a Softopper. So far this one sounds good, but I have only just started looking so I can't commit just yet.
    How is it installed?

So it goes under the softopper rail, then 90 degrees downward and bolts into accessory rail?
How many pieces does it come in (before assembly)?
Also, does how much gap is between the softopper and rack?
    Thanks in advance

    Yes,
There are a total of 17 pieces.
The top of the bed rack is tall enough to allow long items to be hauled and clear the shark fin antenna, this leaves about 2-3" of space above the topper, the side have about 1/2"

I'd be interested in a cab-rack depending on the way its mounted, the load capacity, and preferably if it didn't have the side overhang it appears to have in the photo....like if it was slightly less wide.

I’m not personally interested in this particular product. But, I will say, the build quality on his racks is outstanding. His 100 series roofrack is bomber and beautifully designed.
If I wax in the market for a rack, I’d buy his (I’m satisfied with my current setup).

Got all excited and was thinking it was an over the canopy like a hard shell Leer or ARE... My Leer isn't rated for weight so I can't mount anything heavy like a RTT to it without building a frame to reinforce it.

What would shipping to GA be like? I am assuming it is shipped in pieces to reduce cost and it seems light enough. My zip code is 31204. I am still undecided on what path I want to take with my truck but I do have a few questions about the rack:

    1. In the thread there was discussion of eventually closing the rack in completely, is that still on the table and would I be able to close the current version in down the road (IE, add ons to close it in all the way) if you get the chance to complete that design? I know it was built for softtoppers but I believe in the thread there was brief mention of eventually creating a top and front/rear enclosures after the addition of the side doors.

I guess I really just had the one compound question.

Shipping for both racks is around $150 or less.
This rack will never be fully enclosed, I may do a rear door in the future that will adapt to the current design.
I may entertain the idea of making a modular aluminum hard canopy in the future. This will be a completely different unit though.

Any chance on coated black hardware and load bars? My truck is all black.
And does the short bed rack fill the entire bed length?

Quick question: if I purchased the shortbed rack and wanted doors, there are 4 total @ $350 per? $1400 total?
