Headlight issue????

I just purchased a 2017 tacoma offroad. With the headlights in auto position when I exit vehicle and lock doors the headlights stay on and lights on instrument panel. Has happened twice. Not all the time.

 

do the shut off after a few minutes or what not?

 

No they will stay on. I waited for 10 minutes before I entered truck, started it and then shut it back off, exited and locked doors again and then they shut off. Strange.

 

With that quirk, you're going to end up stranded with a dead battery. Maybe not use the auto feature?

True on both points.

With the way my shit goes they'll go out once the battery dies.

 

No. Still an issue. I am leaving lights in off position. Its 3 weeks old. I guess i will bring to dealer. Sucks

 

I got different issues with mine, 2018 TRD PRO. Headlight doesnt turn off when in AUTO (it supposed to turn off when morning time).
It was doing fine for the first 3 weeks and now it doesnt turn off in the morning.
