Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Turkey for a remote, then Travis. But I put on master... So that'll change what I do in Turkey. Then I'll try to get into the kc-46 office at Travis when I get there.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
I was a "AMT" (airborne maint. tech.) as a crewmember on the 6 original RC135M's waaay back in 70-71 with the 6990th Security Sqrdn at Kadena. We flew the hell out of those 6 planes -- guess what --they all 6 are still flying today as RC13W's. (131,32, 34, 35, 38, and 39) I had 32 Combat missions -near Hanoi and Northern Laos on these planes in about 16 months. This is thanks to the great ground support people. As far as anyone saying were not maintainers -- we worked on the black boxes on the ground as well.
I started out as a B52 (C's and D's) ECM tech at Ellsworth SD

Field Training Detachment. It was the follow-on training after Tech school, before we hit the flightline.

That place --Ellsworth and Rapid City can/does have all the extremes of Mo weather just worse
Once (long time ago) came home (MO.) on leave went water skiing on Lake of the Ozarks on Memorial Day --went back to Ells -- had 8 inches of wet snow on June 8th or 9th. Had hailstones as big as baseballs once and one morning of -30 with 40mph winds. I was out on the flightline at -20 --they let it "warm" up a little before sending us out to work on the ECM gear on the 52's. The crazy thing was the radical changes from one day till the next

HH-60M UH-60A/L Army CW3 Maintenance Test Pilot Montana Tons of respect for my maintainers usually right there with them turning wrenches as much as I can. Was sheetmetal when I was enlisted E-5. Me in the green tshirt laughing at one of the crew chiefs as usual doing something outrageous!DSCN0981.jpg

Hey everyone, I haven't looked all the way through this thread yet but are there any other 47 mechanics in here? I've been in the guard about 5 years now and a federal technician for about 1.5 years working on Chinooks.

I got pretty relevant plates to my occupation ;)

Retired engine troop, USAF. Spent time on A-10, B-1, B-2, C-17, F-16, F-22 and T-38. Been all over, sandbox to Antarctica. Plenty of interesting stories from blowing over plastic shithouses with a weapons troop inside during engine run, borrowing practice dummy’s from firehouse—payback prank and a long one, dubauchery on the Korean Peninsula and on. More importantly, we broke a bunch of production and quality records and many firsts. Cheers aircraft mx brethren!
