Ya its 4x4 i used to wheel a little here a little there just want some extra ground clearance. I want to go out to moad an wheel one of these days. Im not a fan of body lifts or spacer lifts not saying there are anything wrong with doing so but my personal preference i wanna stick with suspension

I did this last year, just at 2 inches front and rear to keep the factory rake, parts including the ECGS bushing puts you easily under $1K.

    Very pleased with it.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/dclb-with-885-springs-5100s-at-0-and-3-leaf-aal.502144/

No its not the 6112/5160 combo but it meets the requirement for lift front and rear, includes the bushing for preventive measure, comfortable for a daily driver and is under the price point all in.

If the budget was 1500 then go 6112/5160, 3 leaf AAL and ECGS bushing.

Im definitely a noob at all of this and i probably missed something somewhere. I dont really care for a crazy lift or anything. Ideally id be happy with 2.5. Alot of people have suggested 5100s which could be a great deal but i like the idea of owning full coilovers. I just feel like they would be a better investment in the long run. I was honestly considering saving to buy kings as i love the look of them and they have great reviews. But id have to change my ucas and lack of warranty turns me off.
I have read great reviews about 6112/5160 and it just seems like a better bet. My question. Would i have to change my ucas? Or is it something i could save for later on down the road. Is this kit even necessary for someone that doesnt do much offroading?

I have a DCLB 4x4. I set my 6112’s on the 6/5 settings and got the alignment within spec without UCA’s no problem. I don’t do very much off roading either, this kit is definitely not necessary but in my opinion it is definitely worth it.

2.5 inches is pushing it for a front lift without a drop bracket. Why do you want 2.5 inches?

Looks good! So someone could get away with the 5100s, stock springs, and just an AAL in rear if on a tight budget?

Yes but add another $175 and let aftermarket springs do the front lifting for a better ride.

Ok, I like that idea. What about rear... advantage of leaf pack vs AAL?

Spend some cash on some bigger tires if you want extra ground clearance

Go with a 3 leaf AAL instead of a single AAL if you drive with an empty bed, difference in cost is about $75-80 and the ride is better if your bed is empty most of the time. If you have a cap or haul all the time go single AAL.

If cost is no option then go with a custom full leaf pack built for your needs.

But if a budget for 200 or less, prefer the 3 leaf AAL for an empty bed.

Thanks! I intend on getting slightly larger tires at some point and only want maybe 2" of lift. Also budget is a factor, so this helps. Appreciate it!

All 3 leaf AAL seem to be made the same so no need for name brand like ICON, Headstrong and Wheelers carry an in house 3 leaf AAL for about 60% of the cost of the ICON.

Thanks so much for the info. It'll be a little while before I do this, but I am just trying to get it mapped out in my head. Maybe if I keep the budget right, it'll be sooner rather than later.
