I ordered rims and tires from an online vendor and opted to have them install after-market TMPS that were supposed to work for my 2017 TRD Offroad. After installing I saw that the numbers were blank where I should have seen my PSI. Here's where I made my mistake, I tried to reset them using the under dash button which set off my tire pressure dash light which sent the computer into a loop. Had I simply driven for approximately 10 min they would have come online with no issue.

So when I went to Toyota for my alignment and they said they couldn't help me without the specific codes found on each sensor. Naturally they offered to break down the tires, get the codes and remount/balance for a cool $200. So I stopped by NTB and they said they couldn't get the sensors to initialize with the truck and that I was sold incompatible hardware.

After contacting the online vendor they told me to go to Pepboys because they use the same technology to learn/relearn the sensors and sure as shit it worked. This vendor uses ITM 315mhz sensors. So obviously this isn't going to solve everyones issues but hopefully this information will help someone having issues with the sensors and dashlight.

I'm not sure about the exact model number, I was only able to the frequency.

If they were the same as OEM then Toyota and NTB should have been able to pick up the codes but they could not. Pepboys was the only place that could do it. Anyone dealing with the same issues should try Pepboys.
