I want to give a heads up to the folks that ordered a short shifter for the 95-04 4x4 with the 2.7L engine.

There is a chance you were shipped the wrong spacer plate. Before you start the install check the length of your spacer plate. The one you need is 5" long. If you got one that is 4.5" long get a hold of me so I can get you the correct spacer plate.

Just finished installing mine, very nice and smooth. The only thing I had to do was make a small cut out to get the two bolts in, but I don't think that was a big deal. Over all, very happy with the product, thanks for the group buy:D

I installed mine on Friday, definitely worth the price. I had no trimming or cutting. I did my stall from under the truck to make it easy. I am on campus, but I will post after pics when I get home (don't have before pics:eek:)

Just installed mine today. It is great... much shorter throws and a "truck" feel to it.. you KNOW when you get in gear by the feel of the knob. I guess that is their "positive gear engagement".

Only one negative... it looks like us 4wd guys have to notch or bend sheet metal up in order to install the longer bolts supplied with the kit (only for the front two bolts). Even though i was able to flatten this area back down, I don't like having that damage there... just one more place for rust or exhaust gasses to get in. Perhaps when i have time I will go back and make sure I siliconed around the area thoroughly.
