These guys seemed to have it together slightly more than the ones posted above.

    https://www.alibaba.com/product-det...ml?spm=a2700.7724857.main07.99.2a5cf398QT3o4o

    Priced at $80

They said, none in production for two months. They will contact me when they have more. Their design looked correct, however it also matches an ebay ad here:

    https://www.ebay.com/i/352075869920?chn=ps

So.. it is likely they just copied an online link, or someone is already selling them online at a pretty good markup. (priced on ebay at 395 + $25 shipping)

yeah I agree something is off with this sellers grille, a lot of 3rd gen guys are catching a bait and switch deal now they order a 2017-18 grille and get sent a i phone holder instead this could be the same. if the picture doesn't fit we must aquit. although I think the other seller for $80 has the only faux 2nd gen grille that I would trust buying from it looks like the OEM version to a tee, now we need either a middle man from EBAY or AMAZON to come up with a 20 piece bulk buy or maybe convince the Alibaba company to sell individual pieces, I keep looking at the OEM grilles prices and say f**k that for $400, hopefully something can come about with the legit looking faux grille.

I hope so! It would be sweet to get one.$400 is just too much for OEM plastic.

if the word gets out that there would be a lot of potential buyers for a 2nd gen faux grille there should be a middle man out there willing to buy 20+ plus units at Alibaba and make a little profit,I would think. I don't think that EBAY sellers are aware of how great the demand for these grilles is or it would have been done at the same time as the 3rd gen ones.

I agree. Even if that middle man is one of us, it can and will be done.

I don't think I would like to be the middle man because if the grilles don't show up for a month+ and have broken clips then I would get by nuts lopped off by the unhappy campers, was hoping maybe an EBAY seller would pick up on the trend and start selling them that way theres a little more security for the buyer should something like this should arise

Yeah, true. I was assuming the quality would be on par with OEM. I guess we’ll have to wait and find out from the first batch.

Ok. I did a little more research. Here is a supplier in China that seems reputable and also has the assurance guaintee. They are a manufacturer so it appears their quantity minimum is 20. I am not sure price yet.

I'm hoping for a single or maybe a small order of 5. If I end up with 5 I will let you guys know. Or if someone else wants to take the information and run a GB I'd be in. :)

    I'm out....
Just pulled the trigger on a OEM from a reputable seller: https://www.ebay.com/itm/263410383722
Had enough of the guessing game of whether or not some copycat in China will start mass producing at half the cost of OEM... or worse...getting scammed by one of these clowns when they finally annouce they have the goods. No thanks.

Not too bad. Patience is the key. The insert has a lot of plastic tabs that need to be wiggled out in a steady manner so you don't crack any. Otherwise, all good.
