I work for Royal Dutch Shell, Shell Martinez Refinery. hell of a good job. Shell hires around 20-25 operators annually. It is hard to get in here, but it is well worth it. 6 figures after a few years, start out at appx $32/hr. Great medical benefits with choice of United healthcare, or Kaiser, several diff plans. Dental, Vision, mental health. 401k and Shell Pension.
Shell hires mostly out of classes that graduate from "P-Tech" class that you can take: http://www.losmedanos.edu/departments/ptech/
I hear it costs around $2k to take but it's worth it.

We are always lookin for good operators so look it up. well worth your while
Shell posts jobs for Martinez refinery online. just google it and after a bit of looking you'll find it. Noone gets a heads up when the jobs post these days so i'd say just check it weekly.

We’re hiring as well in greater SF Bay Area. $25/hr starting base pay (plus commissions, some techs are making an extra $1k a month before any bonuses or incentives are applied, so let’s say up to $2k month in commission and related payouts). Lot of potential for commission, lot of potential for overtime.

Refrigeration/sealed system experience might get your starting base pay at $27/hr.

Work truck, phone, tools.. pretty much left to your own devices. Route is dispatched via laptop (company provided). Benefits after 90 days including 401k. 6-8 weeks of training at full pay rate, all expenses paid.

Sears Holdings Corp, residential appliance technician.
