New to this forum. Went to the dealer today for the leaf spring recall and they wouldn't replace them due to the 3 inch block in the rear. They told me that no lifted trucks will be fixed on this recall. Now what?. I don't want to be stuck in the middle of the desert with a broken spring. Any ideas?

Another option would be to take the blocks out and then go back to the dealer...or another dealer to have the leafs replaced.

What leafs do you suggest without changing the shocks ? I want to keep the height in the rear the same

What you need to do is buy "U" bolts for your setup. Bring them in with you. The kit is for stock trucks so Toyota is not going to pay for custom length u bolts. Any add a leaf and your out of luck. We'll put the recall leafs on but add a leaf is not free work. Yes they have the right to say that cause it's true. There is liability issues etc. they may still not agree to do it. Any mod you do to that rear suspension can void the recall being done. Ask If they will do it without putting the block back in. If they agree, Just have them do it and drag your ass home and put the blocks in yourself. It will come apart real easy. Plus it left the shop per the recall. Your the one doing the mod. If they still won't do it, don't hate them. You created the issue.

Yes, I got lucky to find a dealer to honor the recall even though I had lift blocks in the rear
