$85 more? I'd need a deeper discount than that to pick PC over TC, but they're probably a pretty solid product. I kinda expected them to be a bit cheaper to be honest.

Yeah I did too if $85 is the only difference. We still need to know the thickness tubing they use to construct the arms as well to either deem them solid, or dismiss them from a competitive option.

The size of the uniball means absolutely nothing here. What matters is the range of motion needed to accommodate the suspension travel and the design of the misalignments, which ensures maximum range of motion.

The use of a 1.25" uniball vs a 1" uniball is more of a marketing thing since the need isn't really there.

"Oh look my arms are better because I have bigger uniballs" Yeah OK!

I bit the bullet and got the pro comp arms for my truck. I got them at a wholesale discount that I can't get on Total Chaos so I can't say much about the guys paying full retail but I was pretty impressed with the quality. Its not like I'm gunna cut into them to test the thickness but they are HEAVY. I deal with tubing at my job, so I can get a pretty good feel for it by holding it and they are pretty damn beefy.

Mine came with a gusset where the uniball is that is not shown in this photo. The alignment on my truck with 3" of lift is back into factory spec. My alignment guy said he had all the room he needed and more. The install instructions were good enough for me to do it at home with hand tools. The zerks are tough to get to once they are installed but who really cares about that.

Been running these for about 2 months now and I'm pretty impressed. My tires 285/70/17 rubbed like a mother on the stock uppers but now they barely touch the Pro Comps with stock wheels. I occasionally hit some whoops but don't beat on them every day or do Baja races or anything.

All in all I'd say these are a good product and the photo in this post doesn't do justice to how nicely welded these things are.

Just my .02 .... If anyone is considering these PM me questions or ask here and I'll be happy to help however I can.

I was told pro comp uca's don't work with my 6" lift and TC does. So I'm going to go with them. There's a reason why everyone recommends them...

Having had Total Chaos uppers on my 96 taco since 2005, I have had to replace the ball joint twice now due to debris, and after only a short time, ready to change them again. Total Chaos states they do not like putting a dust cover on top. Their reasoning is that the dust cover prevents the joint from being able to dry out.
I'm tried of changing these joints out. When you add up the cost of the joints along with an alignment, besides the time it takes to change, it gets expensive. Anyone have experience with the Pro-comps or other have any comment?
The OEM arms have a boot around the joint.

I have the PC pro runner UCA on my truck. I purchased the truck last week with a 3” PC lift, add a leaf rear. (Already replacing this lift) I know the kit is less than a year cause Carfax has it with two owners, 1 a business owner (that business does not lift its trucks) second owner had it for about 10 months and all the lift components look fairly new, and tires are less than a year. being a new lift it sucks.

The UCAs rest on the coil springs when truck is parked flat It’s constantly my Rubbing and making noise. The uniballs squeak like crazy, I emailed PC and they said hit them with lube.

The truck is all outta allignment and all over the place. I have not taken it to get an allignment cause I’m putting fox coilovers on next week, I’m gonna lube the uniballs and keep the PC UCAs and see how they work. Hope they work out cause I don’t wanna drop the the little extra money I have on UCAs. I take some photos and get them up on here tomorrow.

I know I’m resurrecting an old thread but I wanted to chime in.

On my 2015 Tundra I’ve been using Pro Comp UCA’s for 2 years now and at least 20k miles on them. From daily driving, trails, high speed wash boards and some crawling in Anza, Joshua Tree and Nevada they’ve held up without any issues at all. They have yet to produce any unusual noises. I’ve also never had any alignment issues. The shop was able to align within factory specs. I paired the arms up with Kings with external adj reservoirs set at 3in and a Coach Builder .5in shim.

I was able to purchase the arms for around $550 and couldn’t be happier. Knowing that TC and Camburg are great arms and proven don’t let the name Pro Comp completely deter you.

I dropped the fox 2.5 on and made a world difference.. the only thing is the uniball is noisy.

I've been running the PC UCAs for about 1.5 years. Chose them because I was able to get a significant price difference. 25k miles of daily use + camping/hunting/exploring trips. Running Icon C/Os and ome leafs/airbags, 285 tires. I clean and lube them with each oil change.

Been working fine and held up to any abuse so far. Only minor noise once they get dirty. 5 minutes to clean and lube. I agree you get what you pay for most of the time but these surprised me.

Never had any noise from mine. I’ve only cleaned the uniball’s once so far.

I definitely think you do get what you pay for but not for everything. It’s not a bad thing to compare and contrast before purchasing. Some like to jump the gun and purchase what’s hot, and that’s fine.

I worked in the offroad industry and own a DD prerunner with uniballs never really had one squeak that bad , maybe one a few times. Personally never lube them just makes it worse no matter what. I just wash them when washing truck, and clean it off and try to move uniball and clean.
