    I do like the Ardbeg; I just prefer the Laphroaig if I'm spending $45-50 on a bottle. If somebody offered me a glencairn of Ardbeg I definitely wouldn't turn up my nose at it, haha!

    I've actually been drinking this for a sipping rum lately. It's only $20 a bottle but it's really surprisingly good.

    The Bacardi 8 is also pretty good. Both tend towards the sweeter side so I have to be in the right mood for them, but they're very good when I am.

    I used to be able to buy rye whiskies for considerably less than the equivalent bourbons, but now rye has gotten popular again over the last couple of years and they're more expensive. More variety, but more $$ too.
