    @Socalduckslayer

    The cutouts in the front bumper for a 12-15 Tacoma — the recommended light is a 20” S8 — will a 20” Onyx6 fit without any light cutoff? The Onyx6 is about an inch taller than the S8 as far as I can tell.

    It fits but you will have to modify the mounting brackets and may contact a winch if you have one or plan on getting one.

    I picked up my bumper and skid Friday. Apparently someone ran a fork lift into the side of the box. The only thing that was damaged was the blank plate for the light bar cutout. I haven’t had a chance to take the tent off the truck so we just unpacked the box and threw it in the bed.

    Ive seen it done with some modification, the biggest issue is the size of the OnX6 clearing the winch.

    Does anyone have a link to the bedside trim they send with the HC bumpers? Or maybe someone has extra they can send?

    Thank you. I was looking into that, but with that having a metal core I don't think it could easily make that tight bend like seen in the picture I had in my post

    You can cut a small v-notch in the backside to give some slack for the material to not fold into itself around then tight turn. I've had bad luck with the edge trim where summer heat softens the adhesive and the trim comes off leaving a gooey mess to flap around on the highway. Your climate may not have that problem, but just a personal observation.
    I was thinking of cleaning all the adhesive off and using actual molding adhesive to permanently attach the trim rather than the soft adhesive that comes pre-applied.

    Thanks dude. I saw a thread where someone used and had good luck with this:

    At first I though you were messing with me. Looks like an Elmers bottle in the thumbnail. I'll have to take a second look at it. I've had good luck with previous uses of the molding adhesive when I was restoring cars. Applied correctly, it holds on tight. I much prefer the low profile look of the edge trim.

    I did the same thing when I saw the thread. Here is what I found if you wanna take a look:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/boden-build-2015-dclb-4x4.362640/page-4#post-10685796

    I figure I'll get both in case one doesn't work then I'll have a back up on hand. I agree that the pic I linked looks super clean. I can't wait to get the install done. I'm just trying to get everything ready and purchase what I don't have.
