    Yea I should have snapped a pic of it when I popped the wheel off this summer to swap it. All kinds of broken shit lol.

    How the heck did that happen! The case that holds the ribbon cable is pretty hard plastic.

    When I had the steering wheeled removed I seriously hesitated about the whole thing and thought about just getting a good aftermarket steering wheel. Glad to have a functional horn again, but I have never liked my OE steering wheel.

    No idea, the spiral cable initially broke on my first wheeling trip after the SAS. Then on a future trip something bound up and went bam inside the mechanism.

    Man that's crazy how it happened after the SAS.

    Actually, now that I think about it.... if the ribbon cable got pretty bound up inside its case I can see how it could yank the case out of place. This is because the case mounts on very flimsy plastic tabs supported by tiny screws.

    Common to break during the SAS jacking around with the steering. I took care and didn't do that. I broke mine because I didn't have time to put on steering stops and the wheel got hooked on a rock and beyond full lock and broke it on it's first trip out.

    oh yea...if you didn't have steering stops installed at the time that would do it :D
