Took pictures of my wiring that I'm currently very unhappy with now that I have some free time, I'm gonna get around to installing that Blue Sea Fuse Block to try and make it not look like a gaggle f%$* of wiring loom

I'm looking at my wiring and go back in my Amazon purchase history and realize that as a young rookie and noob... I used 22 AWG wiring for the OTRATTW switches and stuff.... especially when looking at the current loss diagrams I'm probably gonna want at least 18 AWG if not 14-16

I had a WARN M-8000 w/ synthetic line and a Factory 55 Hawse and Fairlead on my 1st Gen.
REALLY wishing I wouldve pulled that off before selling it... F#%@

I need to do some researching. Not gonna go with WARN again, too much $$$ for how much I used it. Then again not gonna buy a piece of junk because when you have to winch, generally you’re between a rock and a hard place

I was just thinking about doing the Lighted Glove Box Mod 1 - 2 (Center Console) with the Push Button Switch
but then realized I have the glovebox organizer so don’t think light would be effective in each of the underlying cubbies, unless I put an LED strip on the top AND bottom portions of the glovebox...

FYI, if you’re buying the multi colored wiring from Amazon, they usually are overly generous with their size rating. 14ga is actually 16ga, etc. Order one size up for what you actually want and you’ll be fine. That being said, I use “16ga” on my switches since they’re low draw but “14ga” for the load wires to the accessories.

Wow, yeah very good to know. You measured them in the past or just side by side comparison?
Regardless I'm gonna re-do the wiring especially since I've been reading and seeing some vehicle fires and the leading reason is aftermarket alterations :bananadead:

So I got around to fixing the "leak" from the tailgate gap.
The items you'll need (in addition to whatever size socket to get the latch off from the 2 sides:

This is the old rubber flaps, the knife blade is pointing to where the gap is that's letting water through into the bed:

1.) Remove the 1/4 size screw that holds the lower flap

2.) Trim the silicone or adhesive from behind the flap to remove it fully

    It should look like this:

Now you will remove the 2 Phillips head screws, on the back there are locking nuts that hold the latch (pictured on the right of the photo) to the side of that part of the canopy:

Create a rough estimate-- more is better than not enough!

    Cut out:

Put everything back together, I drilled holes through the rubber where the top Phillips screw hole was, and mounted that to have the rubber flap hold.

Got interrupted at work while writing that last post
    .... now where was I?
    Oh yeah,

Put everything back together, I drilled holes through the rubber where the top Phillips screw hole was, and mounted that to have the rubber flap hold.

Then punch a hole through the rubber first with the 1/4 screw... I threw a washer on thee for an increased surface area being held down so when the rubber decays it will take longer to come away from the screw head holding it down:

You're left with it looking like this:

Now trim accordingly, here is an example of trimming he top, outter portion by the Phillips screws

The pond liner has adhesive on the back so it sticks pretty will, cutting down on the edge leakage:
