i have the issue when I engage the turn signals either left or right all turn signals engage. I get both the flashing turn signal symbol on the gauges going as if I had turned on the emergency hazards. I have checked all of the bulbs all work and my short check of fuses that deal with the turn signal are all good. The signal flasher is heard as normal. Any ideas, flasher relay?

Some place you have a bad ground grounding back through the turn signal circuit

If this has a converter box for trailer lights they do interesting things

All the other lights work with no problems ??

Unless your switch has problems but most often if they fail they just don`t work.

How long have you had this problem?

Salt and liquid brine can get in almost any connection

Long trips can do strange things wire clip breaks harness gets against hot exhaust or rotating parts

Do you have an after market trailer harness installed? its common for the module to become corroded and short circuit causing the condition your explaining. If you do have one installed, remove your tail lights and check which side they tapped into for the signal and disconnect the after market wires. If the issues go away time for a replacement trailer harness.

I went ahead with the thought that the hazard/turn signal relay was bad. I got the part lm-449, and after taking off the driver side kick panel and the panel underneath the steering wheel I finally got to the fuse box. This had three bolts that had to be taken off as you have to turn it over to get to the relay. A lot or work to get to one dogging relay. Final thought—- IT FIXED THE PROBLEM. Twenty dollars and my labor. Thanks for all of the aide from above.
