    Adventure awaits!

Still would like to get more history on the Pole Line Road construction and the San Felipe radar station.

    Thank you!

Ken Cooke, the organizer and trail boss for the 2017 Pole Line Road run asks if any TW members are interested to please go to the Baja Nomad thread for updates and contact him to confirm you have the minimum equipment he has requested all who join have. I am not sure about going yet but will be happy to field questions or relay you to Ken's email. Ken drives a Jeep Rubicon. The trip is also posted on the Just Runs forum.

The 2017 Pole Line Road run was over Presidents Day Weekend this year and a surprise reported was additional fencing at the start (near the bottom of the Summit) of the run and badly washed out road coming down the mesa with the many telephone poles on top.

I did not attend this year's run. But, here is trail boss Ken Cooke's trip report and photos posted on Baja Nomad forums...

While it was mostly Jeeps, a couple of Toyotas were also in the mix! >>>

The WWII Pole Line Road was badly beaten up by rain the past couple of winters so do not go alone or in an unlifted rig able to drive over large rocks.

Thank you - its Definitely a great resource - I've been reading-up on your adventures and taking notes!

I purchased your baja road atlas last year and I am making good use of it in my planning. Ill be taking it with me, as I imagine there are still areas without cell coverage.

Can I recommend my own book about the 27 missions established from 1697 to 1834 and their interesting stories?
Order a signed copy from www.oldmissions.com (also from my VivaBaja site)... It makes traveling down there more interesting if you know the story how these places came to be in such a harsh lane, so fare removed from supplies and civilization.
