Vertx Courier, Vertx Belt Adapter Panel, Maxpedition velcro mag loops, Megiddo Tactical Group holster...bag also has a leather notepad, 10 file folders, and a Panasonic toughbook plus pens, chargers, and a handheld recorder and a kabar TDI

Best setup I've come up with for carrying off body in a bag...pistol and mags are in a separate section so they stay concealed when you pull out a laptop etc but it's extremely easy to draw and fire from

That's perfect. So they're using a velcro panel. The way you have the pistol mounting is exactly what I'm after. Open up bag and easy access to firearm. I'm gonna check those out.

I'm digging that courier. The main reason I ditched my Maxpedition Operator Attache was lugging an attache through multiple airports every month can throw your back way out of whack. I think I went from the Operator to the 5.11 Rush 72 (way too big, but it's a bag I've used off an on since 2008), then to a Maxped Vulture-II, a Maxped Kodiak, a 5.11 COVRT-18, a Camelback Urban Assault, and Finally the Vertx EDC Gamut. I bounce back and forth between the Camelback and Vertx depending on what I need to carry for work. The UA is usually too big and the Gamut gets cramped fast (especially if I have to carry a lot of paperwork).

I actually just got a really good idea while looking at pictures I have of my Eberlestock Cherry Bomb. I may just stick with the Camelback and drop one of my small Sneaky Bags into it...

Don't see why it wouldn't work. Skip the electrical tape and use heat shrink.
As long as you're snugged down tight, it shouldn't move. I tend to use a little blue Loctite on small fasteners like that especially on firearms.

Worst case scenario, if it does mar the finish inside the rail section, it should be mostly hidden (because of the mounted optic).

I think a socket cap or button head bolt with a low profile nut will be fine.

Try it. It will either work or not. ;)

What about just some low-profile nuts on the existing bolts and just cut off the excess threads with a dremel? The same way you do with u-bolts.
    :notsure:

Seems like a quick fix. I'm sure you're overthinking it.

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
This is why I run oversized knurled AK charging handles:

Can you remove the red dot from the base and flip the base around?

I cut a length of 3/8" fuel line to slip over the charging handle on my SBR and my PSL. A little trick I got from Sonny Puzikas. Being a long gun lefty, it sucks to catch a charging handle in the kidney when tossing the rifle on your back when transitioning to pistol.
