I've done a mod or two
They go forever, I got lucky with mine. Came from it's first owner who had never even engaged the low range or any of the lockers haha. Took me a few days to get all the stuff working but she runs perfect and was dealer maintained until 2014. Got to look through the history and saw it's all been fluid changes and tires haha.

@02YotaGuy do you know if yours has had the phh done or the head gasket?

I doubt that it's 100% up to date... Duke did mention that the VCG is going to need to be done soon though.

Tires. You need tires first and foremost . If you got some lined up I can get it going on.

Stumbles has some tires I was interested in, I have to lift before they will fit.

You can run around town on 315s with no lift on the stock wheels.

I'm undecided on the wheels right now... I'm getting a set but they may end up on the Tacoma. I guess it's good that I don't have to lift on day 1

Ordered Fox shocks last night. $448 for all 4 shocks. I'll be able to drive Rojo late tomorrow night.

Been back less than 24 hours and the mods begin. Also need to replace the tires ASAP, 10 years old and could blow at any moment.

I switched from the garbage tires that were installed to new Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo 3. Stock tires are 275/70/16, I switched to 265/75/16 so a little skinnier and taller. 35s are coming after the lift.

And for my next trick... I get to replace a starter. Sudden failure, it didn't seem to have any issues until it decided to quit yesterday. I think it has something to do with the humidity. I left the dry desert and headed to wetter weather. Maybe all the dust from the desert got wet and turned to mud?

Could be, but you'd think that desert dust wouldn't turn to mud that fast unless your drove through rain or sickeningly thick humidity.

Whatever the cause was, hope you get up and running with little fuss!

I've already broken down the bumper you left with me into its component pieces, gonna take it all to the wash and clean it up.:D
