LCA and rear diff skid plates

    Couldn't find a thread on this but it seems some people on here have LCA and rear diff skid plates while others claim these don't offer any added protection. Are the LCA and rear diff solid enough on their own without a skid plate? Don't want to add something that hangs down and isn't protecting anything.

    If you arent rock crawling, I would say they are pointless and add non needed gas sucking weight. If you hit the trails hard and are more recreational offroad/wheeling as opposed to camping and exploring, then go for it.

    Steel is only so thick. On a hard hit you could damage both parts listed. However there are probably other parts of your truck that wouldn' be able to take you to those types of places in the first place. I am locked and armoured, and am springing for full skids and LCA skids. Probably will not ever do a diff skid. Not needed for my usage.
