I was at my local Discount Tire a couple days ago, wanting to get Grabber AT2's. Sales guy said General Tire is discontinuing the AT2 soon and wanted to move me towards some other tires.

Is anyone else hearing this or was the guy just trying to sell me something else.

    Thanks!

Relentless Armored! Too many others to list.
They are coming out with a revised AT/X tire, so it is possible they may be discontinuing the AT/2.

It looks to be an update similar to BFG going from the KO to KO2. Beefier side lugs and sidewall design.

Yes, the Grabber A/T2 is being phased out and from what we hear, the replacement (A/TX) is scheduled to launch sometime within the next few months.

Sweet. Things are looking good in the world of tires. Let’s hope for some sizes that are fun for the Tacoma!

Let’s just hope we get some better 16” options in SL or C for those of us who don’t need the E load range tire.

Exactly. 16 and 17” options in lighter load range tires would be just great.

I have found Discount Tire to be top notch over the years. I’m sure they will get them for you.

I really hope General brings the ATX in 265/75-16 in a C range. I was planning to order tires this week to replace my original equipment KO's but might just have to wait and see if we get more info from General soon.

X2! Also, not to hijack the thread but I’m becoming more intrigued by the skinny tire option (235/85/16) but wonder how mpgs would be on that tire. Maybe Discount Tire Direct could chime in with some wisdom....
