Want to buy a maxtrac lift. Gonna keep my stock wheels for a bit. What size wheel spacer is needed?

Can anyone confirm if the Carista app works on the 2016 Tacoma to turn off seatbelt chime and adjust the blinkers? I have the Carista device, but the website says the app won’t work. I’ve seen mixed messages in posts on here. Anyone have one? Did it work?

Yep. Works, even with my 4+ year old BT adapter. The website is wrong for some reason. The only missing customization that I'd like to have is the key in chime. You can only change the speed of the chime.

The maintenance menu does not work though. So, the dealer still has to reset the service reminder.

The service reminder can be reset the same way as the 2nd gens: push and hold the odometer/trip button while turning the ignition on

That's excellent. Thanks! The pre-5k reminder wasn't bad, but I was on a trip when it ticked over 5k. That reminder was BS.

For the record. I have a 2017 and tried to do this and couldn’t get it to work. Everything else I changed registered (turn signal, A/C and locks). I tried with both the VEEPEAK and Carista. Just returned them through Amazon Prime, but had to pay $10 for Carista week subscription. There must be a new update on ECUs.

I have the paid version of Torque Pro also, only ever on Android. I couldn't get any action on the maintenance reminder. It works fine otherwise. I have only needed the adapter to read one code since I bought it, not on the Taco. It works great for monitoring.

There are some adapters that don't work. The one that I have is the ELM 327 type? It was advertised to work with Torque when I bought it.

I had no problems with it on Carista.

It also works if you have the radio as one of the sections on the home screen as well. One other thing is if you get a call, it pauses for the duration of the call and picks back up where you left off.

Anyone know if we could completely turn off daytime running lights? There is an option in the settings to turn them off But if I turn headlights on the drl comes back on. I guess the only way is opening up the headlights and unplugging the connector/wiring harness?

How do you keep the "radio on" when shutting down the engine??? (Regarding the Push button start)!

Shift to neutral, shut engine off - radio will stay on. Then shift to Park.

If you have an automatic you can leave it in neutral when you shut down the engine, then shift to park. Radio will stay on, I think there's a timeout and the radio will shut off after 20 minutes but I can't remember for sure.
