good morning. After a long cold day installing my 5100s set at bottom notch with the trusty ol OME 887s
In the back I’m running HeadStrong’s 3 leaf add a leaf with 6150s

Now I know that stuff has to “settle”
But I did notice the low speed vibe. My question is.

I’ve seen sometimes they’re not recommended but should I get a carrier bearing drop from OME or say screw it Pic because y’all like pisEAEFF7E9-0E8F-458E-A87B-720E4737906B.jpg

Carrier bearing drop or ECGS needle bearing. Do both of those and that will fix your issues.

Drive your truck around and once you get the vibes throw it in 4high. If the vibes go away then its the needle bearing. Obviously don't make any turns on dry pavement.

You can check your drive shaft angles and adjust the drop of the CB as needed. There are several videos on how to do it. Download a free inclinometer app. Just use washers between the CB and the frame, that way you can dial it in exactly. The ome drop is just a one size fits all fix and may not work completely. You should also check the angle at the rear diff. If the vibe goes away after a certain speed it's probably just drive shaft vibe. If it doesn't try putting it in 4wd. If it goes away after that it's needle bearing. I've got 65k on my truck still got the stock needle bearing with no issues. Knock on wood.

It’s only as I’m breaking and it’s sooo feint so it might be allignment. So I’ll get it aligned, still there then CB drop, still there.. needle bearing. I’d be nervous as hell changing that .. can I road trip up there for you to help lol
