Hey does any one have some suggestions in the salt lake valley for a place that can do a full suspension installation (leafs, rear shocks, and front coilovers)? I am using take-offs from a 2017 trd offroad so no custom fitment issues or anything, simple swap of parts from old to less old.

Preferably at a good price and with a decently quick turn a round. I feel like i could probably do it on my own, but I am lacking the garage space and the tools to do it (Primarily jack stands and a couple of wrenches). If anyone has some suggestions for a broke ass college kid I would be highly appreciative!

I had 4wheelparts in ogden do my front shocks. Not the cheapest but I trust them. Maybe try rides in layton. I think he is $95 an hour and I have heard good things.

This is a very easy swap to do. front shocks are as easy as taking the tire off, taking the bottom bolt out of the shock, remove the two lower ball joint mounting bolts, remove the top retaining bolts of the shock, push the LCA down and slide the shock out from the bottom. you'll need 10,14,17 and a 19 MM open end wrench. No more than 20 min each side.

Rear shocks can be done without even lifting the truck. I believe it is a 17 and a 19 mm bolt. 10 min total

Leaf spings are just as easy. remove 4 u-bolts, remove rear leaf spring bolt then the front. repeat. 40 min.

Shop is going to charge you 1 1/2 - 2 hours labor. so $150-200 for work that can be done with a $20 set of wrenches and $40 jack stands. Just providing you with a alternative route as you are a "broke ass college kid".

Good advice. Don't make the kid feel bad about him self though... If he doesn't have the space to do this then oh well. I don't either and its cold outside. Might be worth taking it to a shop.

Not trying to make anyone feel bad. just offering up another solution that could help save money and explain it is not a daunting task.

I totally get it. At my place in California, my lease agreement says I can not perform service or repairs. so sometimes you just don't have a choice but to take it somewhere. Plus I've been in So Cal for the last couple weeks and forget it is still winter in Utah. nothing worse than working on your truck in the cold.

Yeah I really do feel the want to try and tackle it by myself I just lack the time/space to make it happen. I feel I could do it I just am having a hard time convincing myself. Not gonna lie I have been looking for ways to buy afforable jackstands haha

Find a friend to help you out. I just watch a guy on Tw do his lift front and rear in a day by himself. He ask a lot of questions some were not so bright but everyone on here on Tw helped him out he got it done no problems! Doing things yourself makes you feel better about your truck knowing you did it yourself make you feel good and it gives you experience if you ever break something you can handle the fix. Go for it you can do it!!

    ISO Rear leaf springs.

I know its a step backward, but im looking for some stock takeoff springs, so I can get my truck back to stock. If anybody has some laying around that are in decent shape, that would be awesome.

I currently am running Dakars with an All-Pro U-bolt flip and Wheelers bumps, on my truck I net 3 3/4"-ish of lift on the rear ( Access Cab), I also have some Poo Comp shocks on there from the previous lift setup, they aren't great, but they aren't terrible either. Springs and U-bolt flip have maybe 5000 miles.

    1. Bountiful
    2. Whenever is good, I have all the stock parts except rear leaves and front Knuckles. As soon as I have all the parts gathered I can remove my parts and replace the stock ones
    3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they interchange...?...
