So just to add some more info from my experience. I saw that earlier someone posted that you did not have to remove the A pillar to get the tweeter covers off but I found that I absolutely had to. You could possibly make it work but honestly the A pillar removal adds 5 mins to the whole task and made it 100% easier. Don't even try in my opinion.

Also, has anyone done this or something similar to a 2nd gen? I know the tweeters aren't plug and play, are there any that are? Are the door speaks plug and play? Sorry just don't have the time to read 92 pages. Y'all are awesome, tia

So I replaced the tweeters and front doors with the kicker 6x9 (amazing upgrade by the way! I felt like I was pulling fake speakers out of my door and the sound difference blew me away!) But I've decided to go ahead and throw the 6.5s in the back. I'm assuming I need the same mounts/adapters that I did with the front doors. Anyone know?

The front are 6x9, the rears are 6.5's so the adapter is going to be different.

As far as I know yes the connectors are the same. The same ones come up if you put it in at Crutchfield. I haven't done it yet though.

If you put your truck specs into Crutchfield it will auto add the needed parts.

Can anyone confirm the correct wiring harness for these is the same as this one on Amazon? From what I can find it is but...

It looks the same from what I can tell. I assume you want it off Amazon so you can get it faster, why don't you order it and test it out and return it if needed. Otherwise just order it off Crutchfield.

Id say your pretty safe, it looks like the Crutchfield part is a unique part # to them. The Amazon one should work.

Anyone have an issue with not having enough power after doing the tweeters, 6x9s and 6.5s?? I wouldn't think an amp would be needed but I want it to sound as good as possible.

Nope... plenty of power. Can actually hear the stereo driving down the road at 60 with the windows cracked without turning it up over 40.

Just ordered the tweeters today! I'm gonna try and solve the random rattle in the passenger pillar as well. Any ideas?

I think it sounds fantastic without an amp. Although I am sure if I had an amp I would be happy. You don't know what your missing if you have not heard it.

Turn the radio up loader with your new tweeters and you won't hear the rattle! Really though I have heard that some people put foam padding / tape between the A Pillar and the speaker grill, once you have it apart you can see in there pretty good. I personally have not had any issues with the rattle, yet.....
