Headlights are done!! Pretty much same setup as before. New old school T, removed turn signals lenses, and added LED signals. Repainted with high temp paint. Huge thanks to @trdsport6 for the help
Had to get a special relay for the LED’s to prevent hyper flash. $14 on Amazon. Had to remove the lower dash, on the back of the fuse box

Can you use those relays for rear and front turn signals? And do you have the specific link?

yes they work for both. i had led rear signals and it would not hyper flash, but when i installed front led's, thats when i hit hyper flash.

    "Outside is still dirty".

    Compared to what? :notsure:

Holy crap. Some of you guys appear to spend more time cleaning your trucks than driving them!
Don't get me wrong, I like a nice clean truck as much as the next guy, but holy moly. I'm a procrastinating professional. I'd rather get my truck dirty than clean it. :washing:

    Your truck looks nice, CP.

One of my other vehicles is a MINI and MINI decided not to spray clear coat on the entire engine bay so when I used Simple Green at full strength it actually removed some of the paint. So I just make sure I use a 50/50 mix with water to dilute it and have no problems. Plus I don't use as much simple green.

I have always run the engine while cleaning it. I always want to listen to see if the engine has any problems with water getting into an electrical connection and causing a running issue. Plus the heat from the engine helps to dry the engine bay so I don't have to wait as long to spray the 303 on it.

And finally, there may be a few stubborn spots that are a bit dirtier and resist the spray, soak and rinse routine. I use a soft bristle brush typically used for cleaning drinking glasses after the initial round of simple green if I have any tough spots. The longer arm of the brush helps to get into the nooks and crannies of the engine.

Edit: I am not responsible for what happens to you if you borrow the brush from your kitchen and your spouse finds out.

Can't wait to see pics of it on yours, Cory! Make sure you post up, please!

Question, if you don't mind, since I'm a noob about this sort of stuff. Been reading some stuff, and there seems to be some "concern" about the rear losing "lift". Are you worried? Are you doing anything about that? Meaning, AAL, etc?!

My truck came with a spacer lift installed, so I will likely keep the rear block (1 inch) in until I decide on AAL or full leaf pack. I had a dakar pack on my 1st gen and really liked it. I believe most people that are installing this kit are using an AAL to keep some rake.

Gotcha. Thanks a lot for the input/info! I'm not sure what I'm doing yet... a bit "concerned" about possibly losing height since I'm rocking an ARE cap... but we'll see!

Headstrong 3 leaf AAL seems to be popular. I believe they are under 200 shipped. I thought about ordering one just to be safe. still keeps my total under 800.

Dang, it might just be the camera angle but your old spring actually looks like it's leaning toward the top.

Yeah, I've got this next level OCD. I won't go on about it, but it's real and not going away anytime soon.

I feel like the cleaner I keep my truck, the easier it is to keep clean.

    Thank you!

You are correct. They were not straight anymore.. Not sure what would cause that. They are only about 2 years old, but over the last year ive added ALOT of weight to the truck

I'll make the switch from 887 to 886 when I get some more weight up front.
