I used krylon self etching primer and krylon bed liner from Lowe's on mine. Spent about $40 total and have leftovers of both for touchups.

The bed liner is nice cause it has a little texture so people using your sliders as steps don't slip. Krylons bed liner isn't so textured that it will rip skin off your calves though, and some are, so watch for that

Do at least 2 coats of each. Follow instructions on cans. Good to go.

Probably shitty. Cerakoted guns have worn the finish off for me just from holstering and reholstering.

Not rattle can but I used the kind you just brush on with a paint brush, works great and easy to touch up.

Three coats of self etching primer and three coats of rattle can black. They need touching up pretty badly right now, too. I don't think anything survives being bashed on rocks, so I took the cheap way out.

Yea I'm one of those that line-x'd their sliders thinking it would be nice to have some grip if I use them as steps, but sure enough the first time I really used them I got a nice big gouge down side and you can now see bare metal, which is rusting. It's not that big of a deal but I should have just rattle canned them so I can touch them up when they get scuffed. I'm going to just rattle can my HC Rear when it gets delivered as well.

It's not 100% match but close enough. It's meant to get scratched up so really bare metal is the way to go and use self etching primer and some good paint. You can even do colors if you'd like.

I had mine sprayed with an epoxy paint a friend with a body shop had a lot of. It faded to grey within a year. Since then ive sprayed all of my bumpers wct with cheap rattle can bed liner every spring with good results.
