My apologies in advance if this is already out there.

First off, I am only 5-10 and have almost no space between my nugget and the edge of the cutout for the moonroof. How can any person 6-00 or taller even ride comfortably in this truck? I unfortunately test drove a Tacoma without a sunroof and decided to buy one with one as my trade in (yukon) had one and I liked it. I didn't even sit in my truck until after the paperwork and detail was done on it. I know that I should have sat in the truck I was buying but just assumed that they would all be the same. I know someone else has to have this some problem as I am looking for fixes as I will have this truck for the next 5-6 years. I was contemplating just trading it back in a few days later but I would have to have eaten almost 3K. Thanks in advance for any insight.

I got a '17 OR with the moonroof and at 6'3" I don't have any issues at all. Probably still a couple inches above my head but I also don't sit straight up.

There's a few that have had this issue due to their height and the moonroof. The solution? That I can't tell ya.

I encounter that problem when I test drove one with a moonroof and I'm 6 foot. I bought the model without one. I'm not sure what you could do beside tilt your seat back.

Maybe lay the seat back a hair? Do you have the back of the seat straight vertical?

Hmmm..... That seems odd. You are 5-inches taller than me and don't have a problem at all? Could I possible have a truck that was built smaller? Like different batches or something? I hope that wasn't a dumb question.

I can certainly can lay the seat back a bit to adjust but then it takes away legroom from someone sitting behind me and it is somewhat awkward as I kinda like to sit a little straighter up in the seat.

Most likely just a matter of how you set your seat back. Or you have a long torso.

Welcome! 6'4" and no problem. Don't have much left but i don't touch. I'm 250 lb too.

Valuable lesson: test drive, test drive test drive!

My advice: go sit in your truck and start adjusting the seat. Adjust the back and bottom. Adjust the steering wheel. Keep doing it until you get that perfect position.

Unless you only have an 18" inseam you will find that position where you fit. Might not be exactly the same as your last vehicle but it's there.

    Again, welcome to the club!

This has been mentioned somewhere before and like a lot of others I have no problem with headroom. I have a 2016 DC OR with sunroof and it has pretty much the same headroom as the 2012 Tundra that I came out of, it also had a sunroof. I'm 6Ft. Someone else at 6Ft may have a longer torso an have problems with headroom though.

    None as of yet
6'3 and no issues. I just sit lower in the seat and I clear fine. Just need to adjust just like with any new vehicle

    I'm 6' 3" no problems with sunroof
Wouldn't mind having a little extra clearance though
I've seen a while back where someone had their seat shaved at an upholstery shop
    Try a search on that
Might be worth looking into ?
Or possibly cutting and lowering the seat mounts
Hope you figure it out though

I feel that from a safety issue the sunroof could be concerning...if you get a bad accident and rollover, there isn't much crumple space to stop your head from smashing into the roof/ground when taco is sunroof equipped.
