4x4 is the one thing I'd do differently, but I'm thoroughly satisfied with my base model regular cab 2WD auto right now...

I've added intermittent wipers and a backup camera, and I'm currently in the process of renovating the sound system (I got a cheap head unit without realizing it didn't have built-in iPod control; My new Pioneer with Apple CarPlay is on national backorder and will ship from Crutchfield on Monday!

Great commuter truck and fast! Just horrible off-road and super soft suspension. I would completely bottom out on the highway with dirt bikes in the back on the slightest dips.

Get Pioneer speakers! I paid only $110 for a complete Pioneer component system. Unfortunately, since you live in Virginia and Crutchfield is a Virginia-based company, you'd subject to sales tax. I've had my speaker almost five years and they still sound great!

    For....

2017 Tacoma Off-Road DCSB, full adventure build to follow... (getting over 20 mpg for now)

Obviously quite a different truck, but so far feels very capable, and it’s so much smaller to get into everything. So far i REALLY like it.

Oh and as you can see from the plate, Tacoma is still having a bit of an identity crisis.

Got rid of Buford. 2015 Tundra DC 4x2. Still wrestle with the decision as I'm missing the roominess and payload. But I love the 4x4 capability and parkability of the Tacoma.

Sad to say I sold my '03 GLI VR6 due to only having one car drivewayIMG_20151012_121209_717.jpg

But ended up with my '15 4.0 6MT, day I pulled it off the lot, was deciding between the silver off road, MGM sport, black off road. Went with sport for the fact that I hated how the chrome looks.IMG_20150209_162526_099.jpg
