Probably not the coolest shit, but I ended up hacking up my old mcm fab bolt on light bar mounts that I had to cut and extend out with a welder to fit my 52 inch bd light bar. When adding it to the rack I just cut off the bottom roof points on the mounts and then drilled holes to mount up.

Going this route made a hell of a channel with the light bar in front of the wind fairing and was quite turbulent at speeds approaching 50 mph and got worse after that. Given that my rack generally sits unloaded unless on trail, I removed the wind fairing. Now my truck doesn’t make a sound unless I hit 65 as that’s when the wind starts to echo off the light bar like it used to before the rack. I know this rack is prettier with the wind fairing, but if I didn’t have the light bar I would still run it without the wind fairing just due to the noise alone.

It’s Their older stealth bar that they made that is equivalent to the s8 series. It def puts out some light, but at 52 inches I would be pretty disappointed if it didn’t.

I ask because I have the 52 s8 and I wanted to get a cover for it but don't see one online for that length.

Also I've talked to Matthew at mcm fab about making me some custom brackets for my truck. Haven't been in too much of a rush since I don't want to mount my bar before I have a lift. Haha

Ah I see your interest now as it sounds like you learned the hard way like I had to. I ended up cutting the front tip about 2 inches off from the front and then got a steel strip and cut 1.5 inches off and welded that on at a 90 degree. Sure it’s not as aero as a 45 degree slant, but it works fine. Considering mcm is the cheapest for a mount, it’s a no brainer to get their product but if you got a welder or access to a shop or someone who does, job can be done in like 20 min. As far as finding mounts for a 52 inch, you likely also know like I do that they don’t exist. It was sad to realize that bd didn’t even know who to recommend for a light bar mount. I’m pretty sure that bd carries the light bar cover as they had to dig around to find the skinnier stealth bar cover for mine...they just don’t always post items like that on their site. Give them a call and they should have it.

I was going to bend some GG brackets I had purchased, but they didn't even fit in the roof so I returned them. I wanted something custom for the bar since it's so narrow and didn't want it sticking out a ton so that's why I contacted mcm fab. Matthew even asked me for all the dimensions of the bar so it would be right. I'll have to ask about those covers. I may end up just getting 5 of the smaller ones still since they will be easier to store when off.

I have a trip coming up that I need 20 gallons of extra fuel and this type of mount seems like a pretty good idea. Looks like i'll have to make one and try it out when I finally pull the trigger on the rack.

The alternative would be a ratchet strap through the handles of the NATO cans. Not exactly purdy expo worthy but it'll work.

4-6 carriage bolts with bolts should mount that sucker up pretty easily on the roof rack.

    It’s a zamp 160w. (58.3” x 26.3“ x 1.5”).

    EDIT.... incorrect dimensions.
