Pulled the trigger some 883's from Low Range since they have a free shipping sale. hopefully they bump my front end up a little bit more. I'd like to run a 33x10.50R15 or 255/85 in the future

Are extended strut studs needed for the 1/4 lean spacer?
    Thanks.

Looking at putting this on a 2016 DCLB with an ARE shell, wood sleeping/storage platform. The goal is ~2.5" of lift

    . 887
    . 9000 firm struts
    . ELO96R heavy pack

Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks.

You can run 285s stock on 2nd gens- It just takes some cutting and hammering... Same thing with the OME lift.

Wheel width and offset, actual tire size, and alignment will all play a part in how how much you need to cut and/or hammer.

Some aftermarket UCAs will allow your alignment to push the tire further away from the cab mount and rear portion of the front fender.

If you off-road or flex the suspension any, you’ll have to do more clearancing than if it stays on the pavement all the time.

I have a very similar set up. 2017 DCLB, Leer shell, sleep platform, but also a steel rear bumper. I'm only looking for 2" total but can't figure out if I need the medium dakars or heavy for the rear? I'm also leaning towards 887 but with soft struts. I'm a few months out as I squirrel away money so please keep us posted on any progress you make. Thanks.

Unless you are going 5”+ don’t even worry about it.

Now I guess another question I read on toytec that the 90000 struts are for 110-120 lbs additional weight and then later on it explains 885 coils are for DC with additional weight and 886 coils are for 200+lbs with bumper and winch. I have a 14 DCSB I'm getting a 115ish lb bumper and factory skid plates i assume. so could I just do 90000 struts and 887 coils or 90021 and 887 or 90000 and 886. I want a nice ride but I'm not sure if I'd ever get a winch or not. Or if I'm actually good to have 90000 with 886 I just want the highest lift possible with the best ride for what I got

So unless I wanna hammer and cut my tacoma with the OME lift on my 06 tacoma it's best to stick with 265 75 16s?

I would only pair the 90000 with the 886 coils. I just mentioned this in another post, but personally I had a 2010 DCSB with an ARB bumper and tried multiple OME strut and coil combinations over the years. The best set up was 887 coils and 90021 struts with a 3/8" poly spacer, if I had to do it one final time I would go with 888 coils and no spacer.

So with the bumper it didn't settle too much with the 90021 struts and the 887 coils?

What does anyone think of this? 5100 (lowest notch), OME883, new top plates with rubber, and OME JK trim spacers...should I leave the trim spacers off? 1st gen Taco, bullbar, winch, V6

If you’re going with that much weight up front. Go with the 886 coils
