I need some advice on fog light pattern. My bumper will be here in a week and will be installing Baja design squadron R pros. I'm thinking of wide cornering pattern but wanted to hear from ones that have them. The reason I question WC is the due to the depth of the light in the bumper. Would the driving pattern be a better choice?

I wasn't sure if the bumper would cause a cut off line due to the recessed mounting. Glad to hear it doesn't. Do you happen to have any night views of the lights?

My plans are squadron WC in fogs, 20" Driving in bumper, squadron Spot or Racer Ditch lights and next year do two LC9s racer pattern in the single hoop.

Lol, I got a 50" windshield Led and wasn't that impressed so maybe after some quality Leds I will down size my list. The 50" is a auxbeam 5d and is more of a flood.

Just trying to plan out goals for my new bumper been waiting for this for 3 years

Installed the standard rear bumper with tire gate over the weekend. Overall, love it so far (looks/functionality). One question I had was when / how much grease to pump into the tire gate hinge?

I'd recommend the Wide Cornering. From personal experience the pattern has no separation at all and is preferred over Driving/Combo.

I was running the Driving/Combo and with the lights being so recessed, low, and wide, there is a slight gap between each lights hot spot. This isn't super noticeable to some as it varies on vehicle height and how the lights are aimed. If the vehicle is low in the front you'll notice the spot part of the combo pattern lower on the ground.

Be careful and try not to run the Pros with other traffic, they will surely blind everyone

Wouldn't the wide cornering have a sharp cut off and not effect on coming drivers?

It's not a sharp cutoff so you will have spill light outside the main beam. This isn't a DOT approved pattern at this time. This might give you an idea of the pattern :)

You just sold me. I think BD needs more videos of light patterns and mountings locations. The picture of beam patterns are not doing justice. Thanks again for the help

Didn't try to jack the thread on lighting but they are going on a pelfreybuilt bumper:thumbsup:

I packed the bearings like crazy before I installed everything. And then once on I pumped grease in through the fitting until it came back out slightly ie full. Every oil change I hit it with one pump because I have my gun out to do the driveshaft and ball joints anyway although it’s probably not necessary.

Okay, interesting. Yeah, I packed the bearings when I put it together. Haven't pumped any extra grease into the hinge yet, but I'll do that when I get the chance.

    Thanks!

As long as you packed the bearings well you're fine.
