Yes. I'm using a aftermarket back up camera. Custom made a bracket to fit into the stock tailgate handle, looks oem to be honest.

Since you have a 2006, did you wire into the reverse light?

I did, whenever i get a chance, I'm gonna run a 12v accessory instead so i can have the ability to view cam anytime on the headunit.

I honestly did not know my truck was prewired for a backup camera until AFTER my neighbor and I installed it. However, after driving my uncle's 2012 Tundy (which has a factory backup camera), I like the location of mine better!

You can't do that? All my head units have a "camera" button...

It's all about preference. If it works for you, thats all that matters. I'll admit, i need to aim mine down just a tad so i can see the tow hitch.

It needs constant power to be able to view cam anytime. My camera only gets power when reverse is engaged.

I guess mine works because I have a 2010 and it's prewired then? My truck has something called a "reverse wire."

    And the older Wranglers...

In like 2007-2009, it was possible to get a 2WD Wrangler Unlimited.

The new-for-2006 FJ Cruiser was also available as a 2WD!
