    Just a couple things
Got around to wiring some of my Switch Pro this weekend. Long overdue for the taco. It’s a mess as far as wiring goes. The addition of the switch pro and one of these trays will really clean up under the hood. Once the weather clears I’ll be running new wiring harnesses in my truck and throwing this in there.

Another fine product that answered the needs of the Tacoma market. Thanks to @Mr.PowerTrays for coming up with a solution everyone could use. Everything is laid out for you. All you gotta do is throw some bolts in. Really streamlines the process!

So about to install my tray and SwitchPro. For those of you that have installed in a 3rd gen, what did you use for the yellow and blue wire? I saw a couple people ran the wires to a couple add a fuses in the cab. That what everyone is doing?

I suppose you could easily do it to something in the hood fuse box but I already had my in cab fuse box open and available and was running wires to there at the time.

I don't think it makes a serious difference either way though. It might be hard to seal the hood fuse box if you cut it to run the wires in though.

I sent an email to the sales mailbox at powertrays but I haven't gotten a response yet so I figure I'd throw this out here to spitball some ideas with the general public.

I originally thought I might have gotten the wrong tray but, it looks like that isn't the case. Apparently there are some differences in the 4 Cylinder vs V6 because I seem to have way more overhang over my fuse box:

The overhang is to the point that you're not likely to be able to get the cover off. In Arizona it's so damn dusty that running with no lid on isn't an option for me.

Thankfully I wasn't planning on running a blue seas fuse box, so losing its mount is a non-issue to me. That said I don't wanna have to worry about the structural integrity of the unit either.

If I follow the blue cut and just hack that side off I'd still be able to run everything I want to run, but I would lose the support leg.

Yellow cut would notch it out to just clear the reservoir but it would probably look ugly, so I might make the green cut instead, but then I would worry about the area of the tray the leg is designed to support ending up being too flimsy.

Cutting out the yellow lines would not at all effect the integrity of the mount

In cab for me as well. Was already running the switch-pros wire through so why not. Less wires floating around in the engine bay

Got mine installed today. Only few busted knuckles but not to to bad. Def a sturdy set up. If I ever need to take the fuse cover off it def would be a little tricky. Just need to wire up the rest of the Spod stuff and should be golden

Just wanted to post up, and first off say that Maverick is an awesome dude with great customer service. He got back to me about my tray, and even offered a full refund, but what we decided was I would keep the tray and modify it to work the way I wanted it to.

After some indecision about where to cut it I went ahead and made the smallest cut I had thought up. After a little bit of cleaning up on my less-than-awesome initial cuts it is looking great, and fits really well too!

I'm happy with the margins all around, and even with the leg area now looking pretty thin, it is rock solid. You can see I left my 1/4 socket in there to show how much clearance I had, and even with that pushed in there I could easily unclip and remove my fuse box lid.

I'm gonna clean it up a bit more and then see about paint or powdercoat!

Sorry again about the clearance issues, for a long time I didn't even sell these to 3rd gen SR5/sport models because of how different the braking system was but many people still wanted them regardless of the fuse box accessibility. So i put the option on the site but now i need to make it clear about the fitment. But I must say you did a great job with the cuts, I really like how it turned out!

@Mr.PowerTrays - your website shows out of stock for 3rd Gens. Any thoughts on when we'll be able to drop coin again? Thanks!

A little bit of powdercoat later...

I'm still a little hazy on how exactly to neatly mount the large gauge ground strap and switch-pros power for my particular setup, but it's turning out well so far!
(Doesn't help that I'm extremely particular about wire routing...;) )
