I've got a 2000 Tacoma V6 4x4 with a rear locker. It has an ABS light that remains on constantly. I jumped the terminals on DLC1 in the engine bay and hoped to see the ABS light flash to receive a code. The cruise control light did flash a code 12 and I'm tracking that problem down, it's not the fuse or the stoplight switch, hopefully a loose pin at the ECU for the CC. Code 12 from cruise control is the magnetic clutch circuit that reads the stop switch to turn off cruise control.

Would this cause the ABS light? The ABS light does not flash and I am going to investigate the pin out at the ABS for the Gauge wire (pin 10 at the ABS connector).

I did take an initial measurement of the resistance from pin 10 of the connector vs ground and only saw 2kohm which might the issue I suppose.

Edit: tweaked pins following the wiring and now the ABS light produces codes when jumpered!

Interested to see what you find out. I have my 2004 in the shop right now. Mechanic says I need to replace the ABS Module. He's searching for one right now. Hasn't been able to find one any other place but Toyota. Not sure what that's going to cost. I'll keep you posted on my status.. Good luck solving your ABS problem.

I'd venture to getting one from a junkyard before I'd get a new Toyota one. They're stupid expensive.

I disconnected all of the connectors from the ABS to the gauge fuse. Checked for continuity from each connector (Fuse panel - 1B -> 3D, 3D -> C13, and C13 -> ABS (A22). There was continuity across each wire from those connectors which makes me concerned at this point. I really hope it is not the ABS ECU.

Has anyone taken these ECUs apart for the ABS? Considering taking a look at the solder on the board.

Fixed the no code issue. I slightly tweaked each of the pins that ran on that wiring run. Have an ABS light with codes now. Unfortunately, one is the deceleration sensor. I'll investigate more now that I have codes!

    code 31, 32, 34, 44, & 49. Oh boy.

Ohm'd the speed sensors and they're in range. I guess another wiring mishap?
