The $750 you pay is for the dongle, a obd2 cable, and the tune which you’ll access via internet (includes free updates)

1.01 and 1.02 were released to early buyers. I was one of them. Each release was better. 1.03 is developed with the Tacoma @OVTune purchased and is should fix nearly all issues. 1.01 and 1.02 had a lot of improvements.

You’ll get a selection for 87 octane or 91. There are versions for manual and auto trans with and without crawl control.

Why would the crawl control be necessary? I have a TRDOR but I’m confused as to why this is a tune?

 

It’s all in the ECU man. Different versions.

 

I have this old windows xp laptop ive been using to flash files to tacoma, i downloaded flash manager and it doesnt looks like its 32bit compatible, any work around for that?

 

If I want max performance but can only get 93 octane in my area, do I just run the 91 tune and use 93 gas? Not sure I want to mix 89 and 93 every time I fill up.

you don't have to mix you can just use 93

 

Yep I only have 93 in Louisiana and I’ve been using it with the 91 tune. No issues.

 

When you say $750...are you rounding down from the $769.00 listed on the website? I'm seeing 785.55 @ check out. Just want to make sure I'm not missing out on any tw discounts.

$785 shipped seems about right!

No TW discounts now. Sometimes he runs a special, Ive seen it maybe 3 times since the tune was released.

I have a question on the flash manager. It sounds like it's for downloading the tune only. As far as installing the tune, nothing has changed right?

 

To my understanding nothing else has changed, the flash manager is just for managing the tunes. If you want you can dig through the last 10 pages of the MT thread. They got the update and the new flash manager last night so the instructions are up there.

We(the manual deficient) will get a link and instructions when 1.03 is ready to release I assume.
