You can run your fogs separately. Just don't tap them into your headlights? I mean that's what I did however my ditches and led bar are different. As in the headlights don't have to be one for them to run.

How many lumens is the 2011 fog light replacement pods. I am considering buying them in the next couple of days. Does anyone have any pictures with them on and what they look like when they are installed??

Hi guys, I'm looking at the amber fog lights for my truck. I was wondering if these are mainly off road lights? Or do you guys run them on the road without blinding the other drivers? Thank you for any replies.

I run my straight LED Fogs no covers on the highway all the time. No problems. Amber I doubt it.

5100's all around, OME 887 with 1/4" spacer, icon 3 leaf aal. 255/75/17 BFG KM's on 4runner pro's. Rigid led pods. Debadged and tinted.
I'm running the Cali raised Amber fogs. They are definitely not "street friendly." I will run them as running lights on the highway in daylight, other than that I won't do that to other drivers. The flood pattern sprays so much light in all directions they are definitely blinding to others.

Is the only benefit to amber less reflection in fog or dust?

I have them I like them but I wish that @CaliRaisedLed made a proper led fog light that had a wider beam the ones that they have in Amber are spots. Still they make great products, just wish they had another product that gave me the ability to run a wide beam in Amber.

Also, the mounts are not very adjustable which means you can't point them down at the ground to help with the issues with the beam. I may be doing this wrong as well, I'd love to get additional input from caliraisedled as they are great people and know a ton about their products.

Your info is correct. You can notch the corner of the mount for additional clearance to aim them down more, but as you mention the CaliRaised pods are spots, not fogs. Spots should be forward facing, not down pointing, for off road use. Fogs should be slightly aimed aimed down for street fog use.

There are some photos of the mount interference point for aiming down in this thread as well as inexpensive fog pods, but not in yellow:

I like the light output, and the pod mounts are pretty easy to install. The OEM wiring adapter however sucked. They don’t fully push in and click secure on the power side, you have to use electrical tape to keep them from coming apart, and the internal wire connections are pretty poor, you basically have to electrical tape the whole connection to keep the wires tight so the lights don’t flicker. I think they went with the lowest bidder when they sourced out the connectors.

Seems some others have had problems with the connectors
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/cali-raised-led-fog-light-doesnt-work.529193/

Edit: Caliraised did send me a new set of connectors that worked perfectly, so maybe my original set was from a bad batch.
