Edited post accordingly since text formatting won't allow strike though.

By then I will have too much money into the truck to justify sale, so I'll just have to put more money in to make sure it will outperform it. Well, realistically I'm already at that point. At least the 2nd Gen auto is out of a Tundra to take the beating.

OFF-ROAD hands down, because of the better value for money. You get a whole lot more for the same price (in your case).

While the Sport is a nice looking truck it seems everybody that buys one ends up trying to make it look likethe Pro. The Off Road though is what really turned my head the first time I seen one and I'm an old man that really doesn't do much off roading, however I feel like at the end of the 10 year period you refered to that the Off Road will probably have a better resale value. Just my two cents.

I have a sport, but I drove a OR for a month when I had mine in for a recall, I really liked driving the OR, to me it seemed like a lot smoother ride, better radio, drove better in the sand on the beach, trails, etc. Guess that's why it's OR:) I actually missed it when I got my sport back. After a few days, I was back to loving my sport! Like the sunroof, scoop, and I'm in the process of adding stuff to it. You can modify the way you want. Either one in my book is great!!

Off road gets a plastic fuel tank skid plate. And since it has the fuel tank straps with bolts already attached, it makes it easy to attach an aftermarket aluminum or steel skid plate without the additional cost of upgrading the straps to attach them.

Looks like you’ve got yours kitted out nice already. I would keep it and just add an ARB locker if you feel the need down the road. I like ARB better than the OEM elocker anyway.

Does anyone know if the springs on the sport and off road are different, or is it the shocks that are the only difference?

shocks alot of guys just swap to 5100 and put good at tires on .. I will say when towing the sport feels better than offroad the stiffer suspension excels in that part, but in general if your gonna offroad alot then get or , other wise get a sport and put good all terrains on you'll be fine

For you it's basically whether or not you want a more cushy, plush ride or something a bit tighter and level through corners. One isn't necessarily better than the other truthfully and really only matters if you want or need the locker, and in that case the answer is obvious. So basically put a few miles on both and choose what you like more.

Call me crazy but doesn’t the OR have the 8.75” rear diff and the sport the 8”? I heard this somewhere but never verified...

Go with the OR. The rear locker is functional, the hood scoop on the sport is not.
