How did your cab chop go‽ I remember we talked about welding vs riveting, what did you decide on?

Still got duct tape on it lol. Going to a couple of plastic specialty places this week to see what I can find to attempt that route, most likely a temporary patch

Don't put your foot through the floor. Plastic will be pretty temporary, but better than duct tape I guess. You should post a pic of how much you cut out.

Looks like a good amount, just curious did you measure it by removing a coilover and shoving a 35" tire on to see where it hits?

Yup. I'm running 1.5" wheel spacers on stock wheels too, so about 3.0bs

it will probably have to be Saturday during the day. And we'll probably have to take them off of your truck, throw them in mine, mount, then take back to your truck.... bosses get pretty bitchey about non-family member vehicles in the shop.

Dirty fives! Anyone wanna hit hot springs before LBL for some testing?
I'll post the pictures directly here tonight, for now: https://photos.app.goo.gl/E63nM0B8ZKpU1qYs2

Gears feel totally fine. 4.10s. Probably because the tires are so light. Even did a burnout by accident taking off from a light in the rain :D
Acceleration isn't much worse than before, and I sat at 2k rpm exactly while going 70 on the highway (according to gps. Speedo said 64)
Pretty happy with it. I'm gonna wait a few months on gears

Still trying to find some plastic/rubber that will work until I have time to get into that place and figure out how to weld it. Need something I can form with a heat gun.

Not really scared to get my floor wet at LBL if I need to though. I've had the cab full of water a few times

I wish. Those would cost a fortune. Realistically, I'm keeping an eye out for a cheap mini truck front axle and steering components

I may have bought my bone stock 93 triple locked cruiser with fresh Toyota paint and non cracked leather for just slightly more than that :p but it was exactly what I wanted and looks like it just rolled off the line inside and out.
