Also, one time I was crossing the street at this crosswalk and some old man in a red Chevy Volt didn't I was crossing the street fast enough, so he proceeded through the intersection in attempt to make me move faster...

Using a 1-ton lethal weapon to make a pedestrian who has the the right of way move faster, when you have a stop sign...?!?!

I don't think I need to explain why that's wrong and why I got angry...

I initially threw up my arms and gave him a "What the fuck?" look. He told me to move faster, and I responded by flipping him off. I showed incredible restraint, but only because putting one's foot through the front grille of a car is not legal...

What would you have done?

 

I initially ignored them, but the prick kept laying on his horn and disrupting the song I was listening to...

What it all boils down to is that I was not only bullied in school but was also given the run-around by faculty and staff.

I don't engage with people unless they threaten me, my loved ones, or my property. I generally ignore road ragers when driving, but when they just don't leave me alone and do something disruptive like laying on their horn, I get angry. I will never get violent, but when people continue fucking with me, I get very angry and it is really hard for me to ignore them at that point.

 

Well some people see the bird as provocation and take it a step too far which in turn might be a bad day for you Charlie...

 

I realize that now...

I can't remember the last time I flipped someone off in anger...

I jokingly flip off my friends all the time though!

But unlike the majority of motorists, I seem to be one of the few sane ones, so I just ignore it!

We use those a lot in our patrol cars for our dogs. The cages make it so air flow is weak so we have one routed to the back seat kennel

Also, I don't think my anger is a voluntary state of mind. 98% of the time I am the nicest guy you'll ever meet...

When I get mad it's because somebody is fucking with me, fucking with a loved one, fucking with a defenseless animal, fucking with my truck, or making racist comments, etc...

When I was 17, I slammed another student into a locker for making a comment about my mom's weight. He'd actually met my mom at the grocery store recently and said that my mom was fat, totally unprovoked. I grabbed him and slammed into a locker...

Never got in trouble!

 

That there is fancy! On my old topless Bronco I had a vacuum cleaner hose duck taped to the heater vent that I would stuff in my jacket on cold mornings lol.

 

Anger is a controllable response 100%

 

I've ridden in a 2010 Pierce Quantum (I have friends in the local volunteer department), in late September, and that rig had one of the best air-conditioners I've ever experienced!

 

I don't hit people or anything...

I just get really angry and cuss them out...

You do agree there are times when blistering rage is understandable, right...?

Like when the drunk guy hit my Tacoma, or that time I was drinking with my boss and a random dude started getting all touchy-feely with her and tried to kiss her?
