This is a question, not a how to (not at this point). Can I install an overhead outside temp/compass on my overhead console? It looks like it is wired as there is an empty female plug in that area. And where should I go to purchase one?

Ebay or a junkyard would be your best bet. You'll also need the temperature sensor and the harness in the front behind the grill.

I see lots of them for '05-'08, is this the same unit as or will it work for a 2010?

Those temp displays were prone to failure. The solder joint on the resistors would seperate and the display stops working. I had mine replaced under warranty but was able to get the old unit back. I opened it up and resoldered the resistors and it has been working ever since. So be careful buying on eb*y so you don’t get a bad one. The new one looks the same on the outside but is different on the inside. Yes I still have that new one in a box but I’m saving it in case my old one becomes unserviceable.

Sorry, forgot about that. Yes, the 05-08 are different. Make sure its for the '10.
