    They can't all be winners.

I think both Tim and Lars very talented. But they are a sub gener of punk.

Thanks my biggest gripe with what people call punk. They bulk bunch of bands into punk.

Ok I know this from years ago but,

NOMEANSNO is one of the greatest bands there ever was.
0+2=1 is my all time favorite album of theirs.

Man, this thread is making miss my high school days. Used to go to the White Rabbit in San Antonio to catch some awesome shows. or down to what used to be the Verizon Wireless amphitheater for Warped Tour when they had bands like the Casualties, NOFX, Bad Religion.... Now I heard Warped Tour is a thing of the past. I would still go if they didn't change the bad ass bands out for a line up of emo kids moaning into a microphone with hair in their face.

Husker Du just released a 3 CD dealy that remastered their earliest stuff. It's called Savage Young Du and is essential if you are a fan. It is awesome!

Saw an amazing Canadian Punk band a couple of weeks back. They are called Metz and their new album in nominated for a Juno award(Canadian Music Award). The album is awesomely heavy

Not a favorite but early 1980s Clash Wannabes with a little Dead Kennedy's for good measure. Haven't played this one in decades.

you act like 80's punk rockers wanted to change the world. they were shitbags as well. I went to my first hardcore show in 1986. I can tell you its all always been the same. Different sounds, looks and times but kids are kids. And anyone who says punk/hardcore sucks now. Im willing to bet with a 98% accuracy hasnt been to a show in 20 plus years. There are some legitimately awesome bands now. Im 42 years old, and never once thought any of its sucked, from day 1. The first time I was given a cassette in the early 80's to now. Theres still kids pouring the hearts into music. If you cant find good shit, maybe the problem isnt the music or people but you.

But to get on track, as much as i can. Two bands that really dont fit "punk" in any traditional sense but ecapsulate many many years of shows, experiences, roadtrips etc.
