Hey all, new here...been doing lots of reading but wanted to clear a few things up.

I've got a 2000 with 138k, and the suspension is definitely getting old. It's my daily driver, but I do load it for road trips, and travel some rough-ish dirt roads to trailheads/crags. I like the idea of a small lift (1-3") eventually, but it's not in the budget now.

I'm want to replace the shocks and coil springs, and was looking at the monroe quick strut because it's easy and cheap. I know it's lower quality, but I figure I can swap it out in a couple years when I have the money.

BUT-does anyone know if they will fit on a 5 lug? Some dealers say it will, some say it won't and I'm concerned they're lumping 5 lugs in with 6 lug 2wds.

If not...anyone want to point me to these bilstein 4600's for a 6 pack I keep hearing about? And/or have recommendations or advice on what to get for new coil springs?

    Thanks!

Even though this is the 5 lug section of TW, I think you might get a better response in the 1st Gen section on this. Most of the people who post here that I've heard of have a 2nd gen 5 lug. I don't know how different they are, if they even are, but still doesn't hurt.

Edit: also I did some digging around with a quick search and found this thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/first-tacoma-2000-and-im-happy.513297/#post-16163557
They suggested 5100s for the poster.
